Katja grew up in Germany with a love for language and connection that has shaped her path ever since. With a Master’s degree in Languages, Literature, and Pedagogy from the University of Cologne—and fluency in five-and-a-half languages :>) —she brings both deep expertise and a joyful, open spirit to every class.
Over the years, Katja has taught German to learners of all ages—from young children to professionals at leading tech companies—and continues to guide students of all levels through the IB German program at Silicon Valley International School. Her teaching style is warm, creative, and deeply responsive. Whether helping a beginner feel at ease or preparing someone for a high-level exam, Katja meets each learner where they are, with encouragement, flexibility, and care.
Outside the classroom, Katja is also trained in a variety of healing modalities, which gently inform her holistic approach to teaching. She finds inspiration in nature, music, dance, and the presence of animals—passions that add to the sense of warmth and creativity she brings to her work.
At SprachKunst, she brings it all together: a deep knowledge of language, a genuine love of people, and the belief that learning should be both meaningful and joyful. For K.atja it’s not just about grammar and vocabulary—it’s about creating a space where learners feel seen, supported, and inspired to grow.
